Why do I have a choice of figure competitions for age groups above my age?

Figure competitions are shown for your age group and all higher age groups. This is done because some schools "fill out" larger figure competitions with younger dancers. This capability is turned on or off on a feis by feis basis after discussion with the feis committee.

The registration options that are showing are not correct for my age group or level; what do I do?

The FeisWorx website tries to make it easier to register by limiting the information presented to the user based on three criteria:

• Your birthday
• Your championship status
• Your gender

Your birthday limits the competitions shown to those that you may enter based on your age. Your championship status controls the levels of competition that are presented for you to register in.

We feel that by limiting the information that you have to deal with, you will be able to complete the registration process more quickly and accurately. It also makes your web pages load more quickly since a dancer typically is only eligible to register in less than 10% of the competitions offered at a feis.

How do I find out what the entire syllabus for a feis looks like?

The entry page for the registration process has a list of feiseanna that FeisWorx is conducting registration for. Any feis that has a website is linked from this page. Simply click on a feis name to get to that website. Feis websites usually show a complete syllabus. When a feis provides us a syllabus in PDF format, we make it available for download on the same registration entry page.

I don't know which Set Dance Music or Time I will be using - what do I do?

Knowing your set dance music and time, in advance of a feis, helps us to schedule the competition to minimize duration. After all, no one goes to a feis just to wait around for the other dancers to finish their competitions. Most feiseanna will allow you to designate this information when you get your registration materials at the feis.

Why do you need my email address?

Your email address is unique to you, so it serves as a good identifier for registrant accounts. Beyond that, it is easy to remember since it is personal to you. Finally, by having a way of contacting you, we are able to do a better job of registering your dancers for a feis. We won't send you any unsolicited email except when we have questions about your entry. If you want to hear about upcoming feiseanna that FeisWorx is working with, please opt in to recieve notices of new feiseanna.
